Scott Fisher Appears in Long Island Business News Ones to Watch in Law

Scott B. Fisher, a partner in Jaspan Schlesinger LLP’s Litigation Practice Group, was recently featured in the Long Island Business News  Ones to Watch in Law section. He practices primarily in the area of general civil litigation, with an emphasis on commercial litigation matters, including complex commercial cases, class action litigation, intellectual property litigation, and defense of lender liability claims. Fisher also handles appellate work in State and Federal courts and prosecution and cancellation proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board.

Prior to joining the firm in 1996, Fisher was an Assistant Corporation Counsel for the District of Columbia.  After working in the Family Services Division, he moved over to the General Litigation Section of the Civil Division, where he defended the District and its agencies and employees on cases ranging from civil rights and employment discrimination to municipal matters.

Fisher is currently a member of the New York State Bar Association and the Nassau County Bar Association.  He is also a member of the federal district courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York and the Districts of New Jersey, Maryland and the District of Columbia.  He is also admitted to practice in the U.S. Courts of Appeal for the Second, Fourth and Federal Circuits and the U.S. Supreme Court.  Fisher is a member of the state bars of New York, New Jersey, District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia.

He received his Juris Doctor from Washington College of Law of the American University in 1990 and his BA from Brandeis University in 1987.
