Jaspan Schlesinger LLP is pleased to announce the elevation of two of its associates, Michael Girace and Natasha Shishov, to partners of the firm.
Michael V. Girace practices in the Firm’s Banking and Financial Services Practice Group. He represents institutional lenders in the financing of commercial properties in a variety of transactions including acquisition loans, leasehold financing, commercial cooperative and condominium financing. Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Girace was an associate at a prominent law firm on Long Island working in the commercial lending department where he handled all aspects of commercial lending transactions, from commitment through closing, with a concentration in the U.S. Small Business Administration’s 504 loan program. He also has experience with commercial cooperative and condominium transactions. Mr. Girace also has considerable experience in representing lenders, purchasers and sellers in residential real estate transactions. Mr. Girace earned his Juris Doctor from Hofstra University School of Law in 2000 and his Bachelor’s Degree from Hofstra University in 1997. He is a member of the National Association of Development Companies (NADCO), the New York State Bar Association and the Nassau County Bar Association. He is admitted to practice in the State of New York.
Natasha Shishov concentrates her practice in the Litigation, Appellate, Corporate and Commercial Transactions Practice Groups with an emphasis on complex commercial cases concerning breach of contract, fraud, breach of fiduciary duty and shareholder disputes. She has extensive experience in all aspects of pre-trial litigation, trial practice and appellate advocacy. Most recently, Ms. Shishov was added to the New York Metro Area Super Lawyers Rising Star list for 2015 and 2016 and received the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University’s 2016 Top Women in Law Award. Ms. Shishov is also actively involved in professional organizations, where she holds leadership positions. She is the current Co-Chair of the Business Law Committee of the American Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division and the New York State Bar Association Young Lawyers Section Liaison to the Commercial and Federal Litigation Section. Ms. Shishov is admitted to practice law in the State Courts of New York, the Federal District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York and the Supreme Court of the United States.
