Laura J. Granelli and Michael D. Raniere Address 13th Annual School Attorney Law Conference

Jaspan Schlesinger LLP partners Laura J. Granelli and Michael Raniere participated in the 13th Annual School Attorney Law Conference on May 31, 2013 at The Sagamore Resort in Bolton Landing, New York. The symposium was presented by the New York State Association of School Attorneys in conjunction with the New York State School Boards Association.

The theme of this year’s conference was Climate Change: Surviving Tsunamis, Hurricanes, and APPR (Annual Professional Performance Review). Ms. Granelli and Mr. Raniere’s topic was entitled Unexpected Storms at the Annual Meeting, and reviewed issues germane to school attorneys that frequently arise on Election Day. Specific advice was provided on how school attorneys can ensure that their clients stay on the right side of an Education Law Section 310 appeal.

Ms. Granelli is a partner in Jaspan Schlesinger’s Education and Municipal Law Practice Groups, in which she provides both general and labor counsel services to public school districts and public libraries.
