Jaspan Schlesinger LLP was the recipient of the Long Island Business News Real Estate and Development ‘Top Community Project’ award for the Gold Coast Public Library in Glen Head. Partner Simone M. Freeman and representatives from H2M Architects & Engineers and the Gold Coast Public Library were honored at the recent June 16th, 2022 event.
About 2.6 acres of the former Halm Instrument Corp. site in Glen Head site is being redeveloped into the new 11,000-square-foot home of Gold Coast Public Library.
In Dec. 2020, residents approved a $10.8 million bond to go towards the estimated $11.4 million project that will allow the library to relocate to a new building from its leased space by the Glen Head Long Island Railroad station. Construction is expected to be completed by the end of 2022.
