Mr. Moskalev is an Associate in the firm’s Litigation Department, where he represents individuals, businesses, partnerships, corporations, fiduciaries, and other clients in complex civil and commercial litigation matters in state and federal courts. His practice includes contract disputes, business and corporate litigation, real estate matters, trust and estate litigation, and tort claims.
Mr. Moskalev handles all phases of litigation, including pleadings, motion practice, discovery, depositions, court appearances, appeals, mediation, and trial preparation.
He is admitted to practice in New York, the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, and the District of Columbia. Fluent in English, Russian, Mandarin Chinese, and Thai, he brings a broad international and multidisciplinary perspective to his legal practice.

Petr E. Moskalev is an Associate in the Litigation Department. Petr joined the firm as a Legal Intern in May 2023 and continued as a Law Clerk through July 2025. 

His practice includes representing clients in a variety of civil, commercial, and corporate disputes, including real estate and trust and estate matters. He regularly conducts legal research, drafts motions and memoranda, manages e-discovery, and prepares for and participates in court hearings and depositions.

Petr brings international experience from law firms in St. Petersburg. His experience also includes an internship at the Nassau County Supreme Court’s Commercial Division. Prior to entering legal practice in the U.S., he served as an Associate Professor of Asian history and politics and an Assistant Professor of law at St. Petersburg State University.

Fluent in English, Russian, Thai, and Mandarin, Petr is also an experienced legal translator and interpreter. 

Education

  • LL.M. in American Legal Studies, with Distinction, from Hofstra University
  • Ph.D. in Asian History; Bachelor’s and a Master’s Degree in Law (equivalent to a J.D.); Master’s Degree in Political Science and International Relations of the Asian Countries, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Asian and African Studies-all from St. Petersburg State University
