Germine Casanova is an Associate at Jaspan Schlesinger Narendran, where she focuses on Education Law and Data Privacy. Ms. Casanova earned her Juris Doctor from Hofstra University School of Law, where she was recognized for her dedication to emerging legal fields. Her commitment to the law is also reflected in her community involvement, including serving as a judge in the Young Debaters Program, which fosters legal debate skills among marginalized youth, and serving on the board of trustees of Variety Child Learning Centers which provides early education and early intervention to students across Long Island.
Germine provides clients with day-to-day legal advice that works. She regularly advises on evolving aspects of NYS law including competitive bidding, piggybacking, vaccination requirements, student data privacy, data retention requirements, and the use of AI in schools. She also creates internal governance documents such as employee manuals, policies, bylaws, and trainings.
