Catherine M. Azevedo is Of Counsel in the Lending Department at Jaspan Schlesinger Narendran LLP, bringing more than a decade of experience in commercial real estate finance and agency lending. She represents Fannie Mae DUS and Freddie Mac lenders, borrowers, and sponsors in complex multifamily transactions, including conventional and affordable housing deals. Her practice encompasses joint venture structuring, mezzanine and preferred equity components, cash management, title and survey analysis, and regulatory compliance.
Her career reflects extensive experience across both law firm and in-house environments. Prior to joining JSN, Catherine was a Partner at a prominent New York City-based law firm. She also held senior legal positions with various financial institutions including agency lenders, a multinational investment bank and financial services firm, and a U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) lender. Throughout her career, Catherine has led transactions from inception through post‑closing, training legal teams, and contributing to firmwide client development and industry initiatives.
Catherine is bilingual in English and Tagalog and fluent in Spanish.
